/the-game/move
The ✈️ tab is what makes the rest of the game work. Every area in Dealers.sh has its own price list and its own selection of available drugs, which means the only way to profit from price differences is to travel between them. Without movement, there is no arbitrage, and without arbitrage there is no game.
Why you would move
There are several distinct reasons to relocate, and most experienced players cycle through all of them in a session. The most common reason is price arbitrage: you have bought stock in one area and want to sell it where the local price is higher. The second reason is heat management: a Safe House lets you sit out for a stretch and cool down without spending cash on the Clear Heat action. The third reason is PVP: a different area means a different list of potential targets, which is useful if your current area’s pool of dealers has gone stale or hostile.
Types of areas
Most areas you encounter are normal streets, which means full access to the deal tab, the PVP tab, and travel. A few special types of areas behave differently.
- 🛡️ Safe House — a protected area. Other dealers cannot attack you while you are inside, and the deal tab is closed for business. Travel to a Safe House costs ETH (the fee is shown on the move-here button). Used to lay low while heat dissipates or to park between sessions.
- 🛡️ Jail — also a protected area. You enter when an arrest roll lands, and you cannot be attacked while inside. Movement and dealing are locked until you pay bail or break out. Full mechanics on /the-game/jail. Exiting jail will move you back to your previous area.
- Premium areas — areas where you will find drugs at cheaper prices, that allow you to buy cheap and sell high in other areas.
- Black Market — a separate shop run by Carl, gated behind a minimum of 10 Infamy. The deal tab in the Black Market does not sell drugs at all. Instead, it lets you offload the exotic items you pick up from PVP wins. Buying from Carl is not yet enabled. Exiting the black market returns you to your previous area.
The move flow
Travel is straightforward. Open the ✈️ tab, swipe through the list of nearby areas, and you will see each area’s name, type, and current set of available drugs. When you find a destination you like, hit confirm. The fee shown on the move-here button is the ETH cost paid as msg.value. Travel does not consume an attempt. As soon as you land, the price list and target pool update to match your new location.
What costs ETH and what does not
Movement between Manhattan and Amsterdam is free — these are the two starter areas, sized so that a new dealer can run the full buy-cheap-sell-high loop and earn their first ranks without ever paying ETH. The “free play loop” lives in this pair.
Every other area charges its own travel fee, and entry is gated by reputation:
| Area | Travel fee | Min REP |
|---|---|---|
| Manhattan | Free | 0 |
| Amsterdam | Free | 250 |
| Colombia | 0.001 ETH | 500 |
| Hong Kong | 0.001 ETH | 800 |
| Seoul | 0.001 ETH | 1,500 |
| Tokyo | 0.001 ETH | 3,000 |
| Dubai | 0.002 ETH | 5,500 |
The Black Market is free to enter and free to exit. Several other moves are free as well: the first time you ever travel out of the starting area, and any travel while an active Kingpin or Godfather boost is running (those tiers carry the free-movement perk).
When the move tab handles jail
When an arrest roll lands during an action, the game moves you to jail immediately, and the move tab takes on a different role. Instead of choosing a destination, you choose how to leave. Paying bail costs cash but is guaranteed to release you. Attempting a breakout costs no cash but is not guaranteed: it can fail and leave you locked in for another period.
For the full mechanics of both options, see /the-game/jail.
